Harvey first visited Ruidoso in 1965 and moved here in 1975 to begin his Real Estate career. Since that time he has been President of the Board of Realtors, in 2000 and again in 2009.  He proudly accepted the distinguished award of Ruidoso Realtor of the Year in 2007.  Harvey has been offering input with his real estate knowledge as a member of the New Mexico Realtors Association Forms Committee for many years. In addition, he has created an online software program to assist in the search of property owners (for farming) primarily used by the real estate community. He named it appropriately, “Tame-It” (Tax Assessor Made Easy-Information Technology).

Committed to serve his community, while living in Espanola, NM he was the Squadron Commander of the Civil Air Patrol (doing search and rescue). This led him to his passion for amateur radio (Ham Radio).  Continuing to this day Harvey enjoys a long time membership with the Sierra Blanca Amateur Radio Club and has been an active Ham Radio operator since 1974 (call sign WB5OMO.) His interest is far more than a hobby.  Upon moving to Ruidoso he became a member of the White Mountain Jeep Club, later to be named the White Mountain Search & Rescue, and was president for one term.  Today Harvey continues to offer radio assistance during emergencies as well as civic events in Ruidoso and Lincoln County.

Another of Harvey’s passions is Photography ~ as a member of the Photographic Society of Lincoln County he continues to share his beloved Ruidoso images with his community, friends and family.

Speaking of family he is the proud father of Jesse a Physical Therapist and his daughter in law Cathy, an Environmental Specialist  who have two young active boys, living in Hailey, ID.
